My Philosophy:

As a Family Nurse Practitioner my health care philosophy parallels those basic values of a nurse practitioner which is to encompass a holistic approach to practicing medicine. The objective is to seek satisfactory resolution to the health care needs of the patient while taking into consideration the total self, in addition to encouraging active participation in setting and pursuing health care goals.

The holistic approach signifies that the practitioner deals with social and human problems of the patient as well as the physical issues. This entails teaching patients and their families the physiological and psychological processes involved in the treatment plan. This approach affords all parties involved a better understanding and ultimately the treatment plan becomes a shared responsibility.
