How do I get a prescription REFILL?
From a LOCAL pharmacy: call your pharmacist to request more refills.
Your pharmacist will send a request to our office via fax or over the computer.
This minimizes the risk of inadvertent prescribing errors.
From a MAIL AWAY pharmacy:
Call your pharmacy to request that they fax a refill request to us.
Written prescriptions, and new prescriptions for mail away require an appointment.
This allows your provider to monitor lab testing, make sure treatment goals are met, inquire about side effects, and verify the medication and dosages before giving a year's prescription.
NEW PRESCRIPTIONS:
For medications not previously prescribed by us, please make an appointment.
How do I get a referral to a specialist?
Referrals require an appointment.
Your provider will:
do a history and physical exam.
determine how urgent a referral is.
determine which specialist to refer to.
Specialists require us to fax our chart notes pertaining to the patient's complaint.
How do I communicate with my provider or the office during business hours?

For non-urgent messages, you may leave a voicemail. Please allow a full business day for a response.

How do I contact my doctor after hours or on weekends or holidays?
To page the on-call physician for an urgent matter:
Call 916-408-3773 and listen to the instructions.
Remember to leave your full NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, AND PHONE NUMBER.
You should receive a call shortly from your physician.
If you do not, please call again and leave another message on the paging system.
How can I get an urgent (same day) appointment?
Please call the office in the morning, and select the prompt to reach the schedulers.
Request a same day appointment.
To accommodate your urgent need, you may be scheduled with a different provider than you normally see.
